Restoration

Vintage Sales and Restorations was founded primarily to provide Award Winning Restorations of Pre-1970 BMW Motorcycles. We find the process of bringing these elegant machines back to new condition both challenging and greatly rewarding. Take some time to view the Gallery pages to see some of our recently completed restorations.
We begin each restoration by breaking the motorcycle down completely and evaluating the condition of the primary components. We take this time to note any damaged or missing parts that must be addressed before the reconditioning of the motorcycle can begin. Even the youngest of these machines is over 40 years old now – and they have all had different lives. Some have sustained damage or lost parts along the way.
Missing or damaged parts are replaced either from our inventory of original parts, or from our network of suppliers.

After all of this work is done, every motorcycle is carefully assembled by a 3 man team (me, myself & I). Frequent pictures are taken so each customer can follow the progress of their machine. After assembly is complete the machine receives fine tuning and a few test miles to make sure all is well. Customers may chose to have me add more or fewer test miles as they see fit. I can pick up and deliver your motorcycle in the Southern California area – or help you arrange transportation if you are not nearby. As always – I am available for questions and advice – just send me an email. I will do my best to get back with you as soon as possible.
